Sunny sue

This one in my current favorite. I have made it in a few color ways - the yellow being my fav!

However I love the turquoise too!

Golden Yellow / Brown Flower belt

This fun belt has 3 different types of flowers attached to a brown knit belt, which ties in back.

Silky Lace belts

These cute flowers curl up around the edges, embellished with a little lace make them fun for any occasion! Attached to a knit belt or satin ribbon, which ties in back.

Felt Belt

This is a black knit belt with zebra & gray felt flowers.

It would look cute with any color.

Large Peony Flower Belt

I can make this in most colors. I typically make them with a braided belt or 'rope'.

This one is a braided satin belt.
Side view with the rope belt.
You can tie this in front or back. The flower comes on a clip so you can clip it wherever you want!

Peacock Headband

This headband is made with black knit, dupioni silk, cream lace & peacock feathers! I love the colors!

Witches Night Out - Gardner Village

I just made belts and flower clips for hats. These will be worn by some of the witches at the Gardner Village.
I made these two to match a 5 year old's pink & black outfit.
I used a satin ribbon for the belt which just ties in back. (There is some hot pink tulle on this that you can't see)
These were for a 9 year old who is pink & green.
This belt is on black knit and ties in back.
These were for an adult who's costume is a satin red with some purple feathers.
This belt uses a braided satin ribbon. It ties in front, just behind the flower.
This is for a 15 year old whose costume is black & turquoise.
There is a piece of lace which crosses the whole thing and then ties in back.

Swiss Days

I decided last minute to make some headbands to sell at my sister's booth for Swiss Days. I made them to match the irresistible dresses over here at persnicketyclothing.com It was crazy busy. I can't believe how many people were there. It was a lot of fun though!

This is what it looks like while I am trying to create.

The finished products. This is how many I was able to make before the little one woke up to eat.

Some close up shots.

Summer dresses

This is a favorite headband of mine. I made this dress and headband in a couple of hours before I took her to a local baby contest.
I Love Love Love this fabric. You can't tell how cute it is in the picture.

Toy Box

I have been waiting to decorate the kids room because I hadn't decided on colors and we're renting. Well I got sick of that. Who know how long we will be renting so... I picked some colors and now let the fun begin! I am officially ignoring the blue floral wall paper and even more appealing blue shaggy carpet. I will just pretend they aren't there and create the room I've been seeing in my head for 3 years now.

Starting with this jewel. I picked up this toy box at a garage sale for $2 I believe.

I put the fabric I wanted to recover it with right over the top of the old, using a staple gun.

Then I painted the base black. I really like how it turned out. Sadly I forgot to take the after picture. And since #1 is sleeping I will have to do that later.

Next was this..
This is a picture frame with some ribbons to hold Laylah's bows. I find that I now need a bigger one! But it is fun to hang on the wall for some decoration & organization.

Scripture Bag / Purse

I made this scripture bag for a friend. I added a pocket in front for her phone & a cute button that will remind her of me :) For the strap I braided three different fabrics together.

My 1st and 2nd skirts

This is the second skirt I have made. The flower added the perfect finishing touch. I put it on two pins so that it wouldn't flop and I can detach it before washing - just in case it doesn't wash well. And I actually wore it in my hair the other day, another bonus of being able to take it off!

This is the first skirt. I learned A TON making this. Yes is was frustrating at times especially at the end when I messed up the elastic... But I seriously am glad I made the mistakes I did because now I won't make them again!

Cake

My first time ever making a cake...
There were a lot of lessons learned from this. One being... you really need a mini frosting metal spatula. They will make your life easier. He was happy with it and really that's what I was going for. :)

Christmas center piece

This centerpiece was made using things from the dollar store and clearance items from last year. In the bowl are little matchboxes covered with scrapbook paper (using mod-podge), then I numbered them 1-25. Inside each box is something for us to do as a family everyday leading up to Christmas. It was really fun. I had my own master sheet so I knew what was coming up. I also planned each activity based on what our schedule was like for the month. I will definitely do this again this year.

My fabulous Mother helped me make this garland last year. I took a picture before I disassembled it and then I tried to re-create it myself. I love how it turned out.

Dress

Flowers

Fun for your hair, clothes, purse etc.

Burp Clothes

I am a little obsessed with fabric. Anything I can put fabric on... I will. Here are some fun burp clothes. I picked up some cloth diapers at Wal-Mart and added some fabric to the bottom. Great baby gift.

Cards

A little sample of some cards I made using scraps of fabric and a tutorial from dana-made-it.com
I can't use anything else now. I love making these. Super easy and fun!

Layered Skirt

I made this little skirt for my husbands cousin who had a baby girl. I need to make another for my baby!

Stockings

I finished the stockings I started last Christmas. I will have a new little one just after Christmas, but since we don't have a name yet I will wait. :)

If I were to do it again... I would definitely make the hole in mine bigger. Fits more, right? ;)

Hats, hats, hats

For Christmas I made my nieces & nephews hats. I used old sweaters that no longer fit to make the hats. Then I made these flowers with lots and lots of scraps of fabric & lots and lots of cutting.

Using some felt, I also appliqued the Yankees logo onto some hats also made from old sweaters. A great inexpensive gift.
